Vampires (common type)
A type of Vampire from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. The Sukuyan leaves her skin in her home and goes from house to house to try to enter. She will request either salt or matches to try to get in. Once let in she reveals her true monstrous self and sucks the blood out of everyone in the household. The only way to defeat her is to hang a mirror on every door and window of the house. Above each mirror one must mark a cross of Christ. When she sees herself in the mirror with a cross above, she will become terrified and leave immediately never to return. However this does not kill the Sukuyan and she will try to enter the house of others. One other method to defeat the Sukuyan is to leave broom upside down behind the door which would take away her powers.
