An enchanted horse from Russia. A king asked his sons to watch over his grave for the first three days after he had died. The first two sons ignored this advice and asked the third son to do this instead. While watching over the grave at the end of the third day after the king’s death, the king rose from his grave and gave his third son an enchanted horse. Later a Tsar of a nearby region wanted a handsome man to marry his beautiful daughter. The man with his magical horse climbed into his steed’s ear and was transformed into a handsome young man. He entered into a competition to capture the Tsar’s veil as proof of being a suitable husband for his daughter. He won this in his new form and the Tsar was impressed. The handsome youth left the town and turned back into his former self. The next day the Tsar gathered a search party to find this handsome man for his daughter but they could not find him. The tsar then held a dinner party and invited the whole town. At the party he could not see this handsome man. Then he saw a man holding his veil and realised that the handsome man was in fact this ordinary person and asked him to marry his daughter.
