- #2577
East Asian (culture)
Giant (attribute)
Celestial (attribute)
Friendly (behaviour)
The Giant who hatched from a cosmic egg and he went on to create the world. The upper part of the egg became the heavens, the lower part of the egg became Earth. This was in essence of Yin and Yang. Once born Pan-Gu grew to an enormous size and then exploded. His breath became the winds, his voice thunder, his eyes, the sun and the moon, his sweat the waters of the world, his hair vegetation and his fleas grew into the first humans. He is depicted as a hairy human being welding a hammer. One different story tells that he was born from the five elements and created the heavens and the Earth out of his hammer.
