Female sprits born from Gaia who is Mother Nature in Greek mythology. They live in natural habitats and become associated with them and guard them. They are seen around creatures such as Satyrs as well as gods such as Pan, Hermes, Apollo, Artemis and Dionysus. There are various types of Nymphs such as Dryads, Hamadryads, Oreads, Oceanids, Nereids, Meliae and Naiads. The word Nymph means and woman who is fit for marriage.
