Minotaur
- #2267
Greek (culture)
Cave Dweller (attribute)
Deadly (behaviour)
This was a great powerful creature that was half bull and half man. It had the body of a man, the head of a bull and the hooves of a bull for feet. It was created when the wife King Minos of Crete mated with a great white bull. A wooden bull was made which the wife mounted upon so that the bull could mate with her. The craftsman of the bull was also asked to create a maze for the bull headed creature to live in. Every year seven boys and girls were sacrificed to the Minotaur. This happened until Theseus used a ball of red twin to find his way to the centre of the maze. At the centre, he found the fearsome Minotaur and slew it in single combat. With the red twine he was able to easily find his way out.
