A malicious amphibian from Wales. Its name means ‘Water Leaper’ and it lives in the banks of lakes and mud shoals where the fish is plentiful and sheep come to graze nearby. This creature had the body of a toad with a long tail and the wings of a bird instead of legs. When fisherman would go to the lake to catch fish, the Llamhigyn Y Dwr would jump up from the water and snap the fishing line of the fisherman, dragging them into the water to devour them. If no fisherman where nearby, then the amphibious beast would tempt sheep near the water’s edge and drag them in.
