A destructive Dragon of Sumerian legend. It was so big that its head touched the sky while its feet were still on the ocean. It battled against the hero Keresapa in many battles of which the Ganareva always won. It killed fifteen horses and blinded the hero as well as capturing his family. In the end the Keresapa finally succeeded and killed Ganareva. One of the horses that pulls the sun is named after him.
