Huge beings from icy regions where it constantly snows and it is always winter. There were many Frost Giants, most famous were Vasty, Hrungnir, Hymir, Bergelmir and their leader Thrymr. The Giants were always fighting with the Aesir and frequently attempted to abduct the beautiful goddess Freyr.
