A Dragon involved in creation myths of the Huron and Iroquois people of North America. According to legend a lady called Ataentsie wanted to be the bride of the ‘Chief’. When she proved herself worthy, she journeyed to heaven and became the wife of the ‘Chief’. When she became suspiciously pregnant, the ‘Chief’ thought it was the child of the Fire-Dragon and so he banished the baby to Earth which then started the human race.
