Fairies and Nymphs (common type)
A helpful but foolish fairy in British folklore. Known to the ancient people of northern England this fairy would help with tasks around the house and usually would guard treasure. It was not very wise and made clumsy mistakes. The Dobie also lives near old towers, bridges and farmhouses. One type of Dobie harasses travellers by jumping on to the back of their horse and irritating them.
