From Greek legend, it has the body of a goat, the foreparts of a lion, the tail of a snake and three animal heads usually a ram, lion and Dragon. It had the ability to breathe fire. It was created from the Titans Typhon and Echidna and destroyed the city of Lycia. Bellephron was called upon to slay this creature which he did by riding on the back of a Pegasus and throwing a spear into the beasts fiery mouth. The metal on the spear melted in its hot stomach and the Chimera chocked to death.
