This was a Centaur-like creature that had the upper-half of a human and the lower-half of a black horse. It terrorized the people of Central America in Yacutan. The Spanish writer Bernal Diaz del Castillo 1492 – 1581, in ‘Historia de la Conquista de la Nueva Espana’ explained that the people of Yacutan mistook the Spanish riders as one animal. The legend lived on as a dark cannibal stallion.
